Additional subjects

A limited number of A Level or equivalent qualifications will be offered, depending on GCSE results, future plans and activities. This is discussed at interview once a student has gained a place at BOA.

The following are examples of subjects we intend to run, depending on numbers:

  • A' Level English Literature (Grade 6 at GCSE)
  • A' Level Environmental Science (Grades 77 at GCSE)
  • A' Level Fine Art (Grade 6 at GCSE)
  • A' Level History (Grade 6 at GCSE)
  • A' Level Geography (Grade 6 at GCSE)
  • A' Level Mathematics (Grade 7 at GCSE)
  • A' Level Media Studies (Grade 6 at GCSE)

Entry requirements:

The entry requirement for an additional A' Level is at least 5 'good' academic results (Grade 5 and above) at GCSE / Level 2. This should include at least a GCSE Grade 6 (ideally GCSE Grade 7) in the subject of your choice.

NB. Please note that we have set these expectations as a guide but we consider all requests to study A' Level subjects on an individual basis.
