Summer Shows - Acting Pathway
The Summer term was a busy one on the Acting Pathway, with three year 12 shows, a year 10 production and two Company performances. Our Actors took to the stage at The Old Rep Theatre to perform modern adaptations of classical works. First up was Macbeth, directed by Mrs. Cowell and Mr. Lees this production was full of energy, song and battles! Next we had Women of Troy directed by Miss. Emery and Mrs. Allen; a moving piece with a real focus on women empowerment, with a bit of vogue sprinkled in! Finally, Romeo and Juliet directed by Mrs. Di Cesare; a show filled with emotion and powerful performances. All of our Y12 actors worked incredibly hard and showed such improvement over the rehearsal process. Our Y10's closed their busy season with a performance of Burying Your Brother in the Pavement, directed by Mr. Lees and Mrs. Cowell. The show tackled sensitive issues with real thought and detail. Our KS4 Acting Company lead by Y13 Directors performed Bite Back with incredible force, incorporating their own writing into some real stand-out performances. And lastly, our KS5 Company performed Cat on a Hot Tin Roof directed by Mrs. Di Cesare. Ending our season on a real high with some fantastically detailed portrayals. We are so proud of our actors, the commitment they have shown to not only their shows, but their craft this year has been incredible.
