Moving directly into Employment or Self-Employment accounted for 8% of students from BOA in 2024.

Many of our students, freshly equipped with a multitude of skills and knowledge gained at BOA, move directly into the world of work.

The experience of working alongside our partner organisations also leads to a range of employment and self-employment opportunities for our students.

Over the years, students from BOA have found permanent jobs within the Music Industry, at Theatres including the New Alex and Old Rep, with communication companies, within education, within the leisure and tourism industry including Birmingham Airport and on cruise ships, within the Hotel Industry, within retail at companies such as John Lewis and Waitrose, within the military in the RAF and British Army and within the engineering sector at BMW.
